Exposure of construction workers to noise

This publication presents a preliminary investigation of the exposure of construction workers to noise at work. Information has been collected from several sources, and supplemented by on-site measurements from workers who are not associated with a particular machine but who carry out a variety of tasks during the day and may be most seriously affected by noise from equipment operated by others. This guide also provides recommendations for further work and concludes that the Health and Safety Commissioner's proposed regulations would have far reaching effects if applied in full to the construction industry.
