Description
This technical note reports the findings from the second phase of a CIRIA research project that investigated problems posed by grit and screenings in sewage, and on the methods of removing, treating and disposing of them. This note gives details of capital and operating costs on both attended and unattended works, and from data gathered it has been demonstrated that it is unlikely that any test exists to measure the efficiency of screens of disintegrators.
