Description
The determination of minimum formwork striking times is a two-stage process. The first stage is to determine the appropriate striking time criterion, the second is to determine when the structure has satisfied this criterion. This report provides information related to times for the removal of soffit and vertical formwork in tabular form. These relate to five grades of concrete containing ordinary or rapid hardening Portland cement and a range of concrete placing and ambient temperatures. The tables are preceded by explanatory notes on their derivation and examples of their use.
