Guidelines for checking computer analysis of building structures

This technical note provides guidance on verifying computer analysis results, as applied to building structures. It covers the computer analysis of simple structural forms such as building frames, slabs and walls. The note has been produced in response to concern about the serious structural challenges that can arise if the results of structural analysis software are accepted without question. Sources of error are discussed and procedures recommended for checking data, equilibrium and symmetry.
